The Oscars 2013

Apparently at the Oscars last night they gave out some awards. Honestly, I don’t know who won what award. I just want to look at the frocks. So here is my personal round-up of the fash-pack winners.

Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta.

There are dresses. And then there are Oscars dresses. This is the latter. The only thing is it’s difficult to see what colour it is, is it grey, is is dove blue, is it sky? She’s super pale anyways so I think it could have been a tad bolder. And maybe her hair down? But fabulous – modern princess.

Jennifer Garner in Gucci.

Did you see the bling-a-ling? Hello! Those aren’t cubic zirconia’s are they? Love the colour of the dress. (the shoes had to go though!)

Jessica Chastain in Armani Prive.

Old. School. Hollywood. The red lipstick was inspired. And she seemed lovely on the E! coverage – she brought her nan as her date. You go girlfriend.

Naomi Watts also in Armani Prive.

Very pulled together. Well done Ms Watts. A unique look.

Reese Witherspoon in Louis Vuitton.

Y’all, she looked gorgeous!

And that my friends, is my real quick round-up of the Oscar fashion. Overall I thought it was a bit of a meh year. Nothing amazing, and nowhere near as glam as it should be. Pick it up Hollywood – us mere mortals want glam-central on a grey February evening. I’d give you a C-, could do better.

This is your fashion correspondent signing off (wearing yoga pants, her husbands t-shirt and hair pulled back in a scrunchie).

What did you think of the fashion? Who were your winners and losers this year?
